In these unprecedented times we would like to inform you that all our Teams are now back safely in the UK and further training serials and competition have been cancelled. Further information will be published regarding our Newcomers Event and End of Season Dinner in due course.
At this time we reflect on what has been an incredible season where we have embraced new competitions and opportunities, achieved amazing results out on the snow and continued to provide recovery, transformation and freedom for our Athletes through competitive Winter sport. Although the season was slightly shorter than anticipated we still achieved so much;
The Nordic Team has made an impact on the World Stage, competed in two ski marathons, raced at our first military competition with the RLC, secured medals at the European Championships, run more training serials then ever before and pioneered a new pathway in telemarking.
The Alpine Team has enjoyed medals in Europa Cup, World Para Alpine competition and won an incredible eight gold medals at the British Championships whilst delivering training serials to foundation, development and performance teams in the USA, Holland, France and Italy.
Snowboard has had a diverse and rewarding year for the whole of the Snowboard group of riders and coaches. Successfully breaking new ground with a joint Mental Health First Aid Course, a Ski Board Technician Course, BASI Adaptive 1 and BASI 2 Coaching Course; the latter both attended and successfully passed by Darren Swift – the first amputee to do so. We continued to push the boundaries of VI Snowboarding racing an coaching, Bens Podium in Poland setting the international standard. Alex Tate is close to GB selection and Owen Pick is blazing a trail winner the crystal globe this season.
We wish Athletes, Staff, Supporters and families a healthy and safe time over the coming months.
